Genius Avenue was born in the regulatory environment as the primary enrollment and administration solution for the Ternian group. As a result of intense regulatory requirements and the unique and varying needs of Ternian customers, our primary E&A platform continued to grow and evolve to support a remarkable number of user, group, and broker needs. We realized that we could support other companies with our unique skills and expertise.

Founder and Chariman
Charlie is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor in numerous high growth companies. He is an innovator in the health care and consumer benefits arena, utilizing strong marketing and category changing technology. Charlie believes in creating entrepreneurial successes by designing new paradigms for innovation and business optimization driven by individuals’ and teams’ skills and passion for changing the world.
Horn founded companies have won numerous awards for best places to work, most admired companies and seven Inc 500 awards for fast growth.
Charlie is also the founder of Horn Entrepreneurship and the UD Venture Development Center, which lead and teach high school, college, graduate students, faculty and community innovators to be entrepreneurial thinkers and give them the skills to manifest their dreams through business and social ventures.

Sherry spent 20 years evolving best practices in entrepreneurship and commercialization at the University of Arizona, first as the Director of the renowned McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship, and then as the Director of Commercialization at the University of Arizona’s technology commercialization organization — Tech Launch Arizona (TLA).

Matt was a partner in the law firm of Hecker & Muehlebach, PLLC. His areas of practice focus primarily on complex corporate and business transactions general corporate and business law, and securities regulation, and employment law.
Senior Director of Business Operations, HR, & Compliance
Prior to joining Genius Avenue in 2013, Lucha’s 14 year tenure at Udall Law Firm, LLP as a Paralegal and Legal Secretary contributed to her extensive knowledge of business and operational procedures.
VP of Marketing
Liam is first and foremost a problem solver. As a marketing strategist, consultant, and executive he has spent more than two decades transforming companies and building predictable, scalable marketing machines.
Megan’s career includes several leadership roles in sales, strategic marketing, business management and operations in the high-tech, manufacturing and healthcare industries. She enjoys building strong teams who consistently exceed goals.

Prior to joining Genius Avenue, Chris spent 20 years with IBM in both technical and program management roles. He built a series of world class support organizations delivering services to Fortune 500 companies and other international customers.
Chief Financial Officer
Ryan not only brings leadership, strategic, and advanced financial skills to the team, but he also has a dynamic STEM background; with education in chemical engineering, accounting, and an advanced degree in information technology. His management roles spanned across the healthcare, hospitality, and software industries. Ryan is passionate about building knowledgeable, high-performing teams while driving organizations to exceed their financial goals and beyond.
The Genius Avenue Advisory Board
Matt is a seasoned healthcare executive with 36 years of senior level corporate and operational leadership including advisory and board experience. Recently retired after 24 years of leadership in the payer community at year end 2018, his strengths include a deep understanding of payer and employer services and solutions. Matt has extensive P&L experience with proven profitable growth results, and significant industry knowledge from multiple lenses – including local and regional payers and providers. In addition, Matt has a national network of healthcare and informatics contacts, as well as strategic advisory and board experience that span many areas of healthcare and innovation.
Chester is the former CEO of Stratovize, LLC a company he founded, and he currently works with DirectPath. Chester has 30 years of insurance, healthcare and technology experience. He is a nationally recognized expert in innovative solutions in employee benefits, healthcare, wellness, technology, engagement and distribution. Known for driving profitable revenue growth, accelerating speed to market and ROI. Award-winning sales, sales management, and business leader in healthcare delivery, insurance and technology.
Eric has been a Senior Benefits Consultant for 17 years with CBIZ. His direct client responsibilities include long range strategic planning, corporate benefit compliance, financial projections, claims reporting, vendor management and trend/ claims analysis, as well as responsibility for the management of each client relationship and the CBIZ team in place to take care of them. In 2017 Eric was named the Market Leader for CBIZ Employee Benefits in Arizona, responsible for the entire workforce of 48 employees and overall P&L responsibility for the agency.
Mike is an insurance veteran with over 38 years of leadership in the industry and a demonstrated history of driving successful innovation and business development. As President of Arizona Benefit Plans Inc, Mike and his team take a consultative approach to helping agents, brokers and consultants create customized insurance programs to meet the unique needs of each employer. Mike is an expert in employee benefits with emphasis in the self-funded and partially self-funded stop loss markets. Additionally, as a partner in Fringe Assist, LLC Mike assisted in developing a new product set in the Life Insurance space specifically for prevailing wage impacted employers.
Michael Reynolds is the West Region Voluntary Benefits consulting lead for Willis Towers Watson. Michael has over 25 years of experience in employee benefits, including 20 years in voluntary benefits. He serves as an advisor to clients on a broad range of disciplines covering areas, such as strategy, program and plan design, RFPs, implementation and ongoing plan management. He collaborates with clients, consulting teams and vendors to align voluntary benefits with the total reward and employee benefit strategy. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Michael was vice president of product and marketing for a large global insurance carrier where he was responsible for enterprise innovation and voluntary benefits product development and management. He also worked as vice president for one of the nation’s largest health insurers where he was responsible for small and large group marketing and voluntary benefits product.
Matt is a proven leader and executive with 20 years of healthcare technology and senior management experience. He has a track-record of helping health plans and employers successfully develop health and benefits programs while focusing on education and greater engagement. During his tenure thus far at Picwell, Matt has been instrumental in expanding the breadth of intellectual capital, clients, and products at the organization. His efforts have included the launch of products that position Picwell at the center of solving the toughest problems employees face when it comes to health and wealth. Prior to joining Picwell, Matt was EVP of Sales and Marketing at HealthEquity, a leading provider of health savings accounts and other health financial services. Previously, he held executive and management positions at LifeCare and IntelliHealth, an Aetna company.
